TCFD Consortium
About us
In view of the increased awareness on corporate disclosure and use of climate-related informations highlighted by the report by the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the TCFD Consortium was established on May 27, 2019 with the initiative of five leaders of the industry and the academia, with Professor Kunio Ito of Hitotsubashi University as its chair. Through a series of dialogues between the financial and non-financial sectors, the Consortium aims to further discussion on effective and efficient corporate disclosure of climate-related information and their use by financial institutions.

The TCFD Consortium has published a Japanese translation of "Annex: Implementing the Recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures" and "Guidance on Metrics, Targets, and Transition Plans", originally published by TCFD in October 2021. This translation was done in cooperation with Sustainability Forum Japan, under supervision of Mr. Masaaki Nagamura, TCFD member, as well as the Steering Committee of the TCFD Consortium.
